What we do
Today the organisation has around 50 member schools across the United Kingdom and supports schools across Europe and Africa.
The focus is still to support the people involved in Christian schools from the concept stage onwards. We provide training events, collaboration, resources, research and advice available to Head teachers, teachers, parents and anyone trying to establish a Christian school.
Conference
A bi-annual international conference for Heads, teachers and governors. Seminars and plenary sessions provide inspirational training to equip attendees to fulfil their roles more effectively. All of this takes place in an atmosphere of praise, worship and thanksgiving within a tranquil setting.
Appointed and Anointed
An intensive week - long training event for heads, deputies and teachers to thoroughly examine the basis and practice of Christian education.
Development of graduate course
We are currently working with a British university to develop a course leading to qualified teacher status (QTS).
Bridge Schools’ Inspectorate
CST has been at the forefront of the formation of Bridge Schools Inspectorate, which is the newest of only four, government approved school inspection bodies. BSI is approved to provide inspection of independent faith schools and is overseen by Ofsted. The oversight of BSI is shared between CST and The Association of Muslim Schools UK together with some independent advisors.
