Year 5/6 Class Teacher – Job Share (0.4)
Depending on timetable constraints and experience, responsibilities could include Literacy, Numeracy, Topic, Science, ICT and PE along with Year 3/4 Science.
French (0.53)
To teach French to Years 7 to 11. The timetable can be increased if the successful applicant is able to offer a second language. This post is available from September 2010.
Art and Design Teacher (0.43)
To teach pupils from Years 3 to 11 including GCSE. Present teaching is spread over 2.5 days. Post is available from September 2010 and possibly for the summer term.
Religious Education Teacher (0.33)
To teach RE to KS3 & 4 pupils. GCSE RE is a compulsory subject for KS4 pupils. This post is available from September 2010.
The school is in the process of applying for Voluntary Aided Status. We do not, at present, have approval from the Local Authority. Teaching staff in VA schools must have QTS and therefore we will be only calling qualified teachers for interview.
The King’s School is designated as a school with a religious character by the DCSF and therefore it is a requirement that the successful applicant will be a practicing Christian in accordance with the Spiritual ethos of the school.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and the successful applicant will therefore need to undertake an enhanced CRB Disclosure.
